  1. Pertaining to a bosporus, particularly (with a capital) to the Thracian or the Cimmerian Bosporus, or to the Greek kingdom of Bosporus named from the latter (about 500 B. C. to A. D. 259). The Alans forced the Bosporian kings to pay them tribute, and exterminated the Taurians. Tooke.
