- n. A pen or inclosure, or a yard with the necessary house for shelter, in which animals or poultry are confined for the purpose of producing purebred stock.
- n. At exhibitions of poultry, a certain number of females, commonly four, but sometimes five, shown, together with a male, in competition for a prize.
