- n. The name given by Coues to the wrens of the genus Campylorhynchus, from their frequenting and nesting in cactuses. The brown-headed cactus-wren is C. brunneicapillus; the St. Lucas cactus-wren is C. affinis. There are numerous other species of Mexico and Central America. See cut under
