1. n. A genus of fungi of the order Uredinales. The æcidial stage occurs on leaves of conifers, especially Abies Picea in Europe. The teleutospore form attacks the branches of various species of Vaccinium, forming a smooth brown elevated layer. The single species, C. Gæppertiana, is widely distributed in Europe and North America.
