1. A group of endoplastic Protozoa, the type of which is the genus Magosphæra, established by Haeckel in 1871: now called Catallactidæ (which see). See cut under Magosphæra.

1. n. (Zoöl.) A division of Protozoa, of which Magosphæra is the type. They exist both in a myxopod state, with branched pseudopodia, and in the form of ciliated bodies united in free, spherical colonies.
