- n. A form of durra, Andropogon Sorghum cernuus, with the densely flowered panicle abruptly bent or recurved so as to point downward. It is largely-cultivated as a cereal in Africa and to some extent in Asia, and is sometimes planted in America, its seed being valued as chicken feed. Also called
