For cryosectioning, embryos were removed from their eggs fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde/PBS for 1-2 hours, then transferred overnight into 30% sucrose/PBS at 4°C and finally embryos were embedded in OCT (Tissue-Tek, Andwin Scientific) for block preparation.
