1. n. A genus of lizards, of the family Iguanidæ. C. lophoma is the great iguana of Jamaica, with a long serrate dorsal crest. C. acanthura is the spine-tailed lizard of Lower California. C. teres, of the same region, is the smooth-backed lizard.
