- n. In petrography, a name proposed by Brögger (1896) for rocks intermediate in composition between dacite and rhyolite. Dellenite is a porphyritic or non-porphyritic aphanitic rock, characterized by nearly equal amounts of potash feldspar and lime-soda feldspar, with quartz and subordinate amounts of other minerals.
