• noun A genus of fossil laby-rinthodont amphibians, from the lower coal-measures of Nova Scotia: so called from being based upon remains consisting of teeth and bones found in the cavity of a sigillaria. It has been referred to a group Microsauria of the order Labyrinthodonta.
