- n. In ancient Greek music, a minute interval whose size is variously given.
- n. In modern music, the larger subdivision of a syntonic comma (see comma, 5, b), represented by the ratio 2048: 2025. In strict intonation it is the interval between C and D ♭♭. A diaschisma and aschisma together equal a syntonic comma.
