  1. n. A set of sets, each of the latter being formed of a certain number of elements out of a given collection of them, so that each element occurs just twice among all the sets. Thus, (AB) (BC) (CD) (AD) is a dyadic disyntheme—that is, one composed of pairs. See dyadic. Also diplosyntheme.
