- n. A genus of Papuan kangaroos. They are of small size and somber coloration, with the hair on the nape antrorse, the tail naked and scaly at the end, the premolar teeth large, and eye-teeth present. D. luctuosa of Papua is about 2 feet long, with a tail 1 foot long. D. muelleri is a species peculiar to the island of Misol.
