  • noun In theology, one who believes in the effiux of other beings from the divine essence; especially, a member of one of the ancient Gnostic sects, such as that of the Valentinians, which maintained that other beings were so evolved. See emanation, 2 .
  • In theology, of or pertaining to the doctrine of the emanatists.
