My 3 yo son is crazy about deep sea fishes like fangtooth, gulper eel, viperfish etc.
There's this article at the BBC with spectacular photos of serpent stars, coffin fish and, my favorite, the fangtooth whose teeth are longer than its head.

Deep pelagic animals such as this fangtooth have body shapes and lifestyles that are uniquely adapted to life in the deep sea.
Fish from the ocean trenches like this rat-tail (left) look less strange than those that live in the mid-waters, such as this fangtooth (right)
