  1. A bonfire, or a firing of guns, in token of joy. About three o'clock the discharge of fifty pieces of cannon was answered by a feu de joie from all the regiments of the garrison, and the yeomanry corps drawn up for the purpose in Stephen's Green. N. and Q., 7th ser., III. 406.
