  • I especially liked this definition, from the mondofacto dictionary (link on onelook):

    Dislocation of 1st MCP joint, with or without avulsion fracture, rupture of ulnar collateral ligament, gamekeeper twists and pulls off head of cute little animals, now seen due to ski-pole injuries.

    Note that this definition succumbs to the common misapprehension that gamekeepers only have to deal with cute animals, and that all such animals have only a single head. This is manifestly not the case, as the following photograph indicates -
