  • A subfamily group of about 20 species of small, lithe, extremely agile, and mostly desert-loving antelopes; the gazels proper: same as the genus Gazella in a broad sense, but by some authors divided into Pantholops, Procapra, Gazella, Tragops, and Antidorcas.
