But then you run into a distinct set of *six* combinations–male, female, male intersexed (having outward male genitalia but partial or complete female gonads internally), female intersexed (outward female genitals, partial or complete male gonades inside), completely intersexed (having both male and female genitals outwardly and inwardly), and biological males with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (which prevents male gonads from developing in the womb as well as preventing male pubesence, and which causes them to develop physically and mentally as female).
