1. A tribe of plants established by Endlicher in 1840 for the then recognized suborder Lardizabaleæ, of the Menispermaceæ, transferred by later authors to the Berberideæ (Berberidaceæ), and employed by Bentham and Hooker as a tribe, which includes the genus Holbœllia.
