- n. In the name (of a person mentioned).
- n. In medieval music: A certain kind of motet or antiphon: probably so called because once written for a text containing the words “in nomine.”
- n. Noting a fugue in which the answer does not exactly correspond to the subject; a free or “nominal” fugue.
