  • Deshayes's name, given in 1836, of a division of Brachiopoda containing those brachiopods which have inarticulate or non-articulate valves, including the families Lingulidæ, Discinidæ, and Craniidæ: now called Lyopomata. See Articulata. Ecardines is a synonym.
  • One of two divisions of the cyclostomatous ectoproctous polyzoans, containing the families Idmoneidæ, Tubuliporidæ, Diastoporidæ, Lichnoporidæ, and Frondiporidæ, which have the zoarium without internodes: opposed to Articulata. Also called Incrustata.
