The Interspinales are short muscular fasciculi, placed in pairs between the spinous processes of the contiguous vertebræ, one on either side of the interspinal ligament.
The interspinal ligaments thin and membranous, connect adjoining spinous processes and extend from the root to the apex of each process.
Between the spinous processes it is continuous with the interspinal ligaments.
