  • noun Any parasitic worm which infests the kidneys of man or lower animals, as Eustrongylus gigas, the giant strongyle or giant kidney-worm found in the horse, and Sclerostoma pinguicolum, which infests the kidney, lungs, and other parts of the hog, and is called lard-worm when found in leaf-lard.
