  • Stumbled across the term 'lawn bubble'

    It's a pocket of water trapped under a layer of turf, typically seen in lawns and golf courses.

    From a distance, it looks like an odd landscaping feature, with rounded edges, and a flat top like a plateau.  If you kick it, it seems like a big water bed is under the grass layer.  If you kick through the grass layer, water will shoot out.
