- n. A grass of the genus Eragrostis.
- n. In the southern United States, one of several species of Eragrostis forming part of the natural pasturage. E. secundiflora is designated as purple lovegrass, E. Elliottii as shining love-grass, and E. glomerata as niany-flowered love-grass.
