  • A group of beetles of the family Carabidœ, typified by the genus Metritis, having the body not pedunculate, the posterior coxæ separated, the presternum prolonged at the tip, and the mandibles with a setigerous puncture. Also Metriini, as a tribe of Carabirnæ.
