1. n. A modification of Edison's mimeograph used in printing numbers of any special form up to 500. It utilizes a wax stencil-paper, the pressure of a stencil-point, or a type-writer stroke, and an inked pad below the paper when printing directly. The writing may be transferred to a lithographic stone and more copies printed.
