Philogynist i have a question regarding photo aesthetics for you. below you will find two similar photographs i took at the recent dunes show at the el mocambo - one of the photos i like more than the other, while it seems the everyone else (including the band) disagrees and prefers my second choice. your thoughts (which i reserve the right to mock and disregard)?

Philogynist ours plays tonight at the el mocambo and i think there are actually tickets left. why? probably because everyone is stupid and has no taste. yep, tasteless and stupid. have fun watching so you think you can dance, dinks!

Philogynist mgmt pulled a fast one and turned into a great live band in the weeks since their february el mocambo visit, a show that left raymi and i fairly disappointed in light of the promise of their stellar album. obviously their buzz level has grown with the quality of their set, as the mod club was packed - including bss's kevin drew and his gf feist you may have heard of her. i must be on crack as it appears feist had a show in austin last night.

Philogynist ours at the el mocambo was the first show in a long string of shows recently that i have forgotten the crowd, the heat and the sweat, and just got absolutely lost in the music. jimmy gnecco says toronto is his second home, and when you hear him scream his fucking heart out in the jungle-like confines of the el mo you really believe it.

Philogynist land of talk played last night at the el mocambo. they pretty much rock harder than anyone else px is listening to these days. unfortunately px tried to fuck around with camera settings a little much and managed to bugger up his whole night of shooting - but shit the music was so good it made the camera and px's quaint rock photography dreams irrelevant. oh, and cloud cult opened.
