• i am alive!!! it is a great thing to say after our short time in cusco! jay and i had an amazing time in cusco, and like san pedro de atacama, we did not want to leave!! but, we only have 2 months to see as much of south america as possible before jay has to be back in santiago to fly out, so staying longer was not plausible ... especially since we already had to cut out uruguay from the plans ... and i didnt get to see the nazca lines!!! if you are wondering what those are, watch indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull ... either way ... from what we saw of peru, it was amazing and i cannot wait to go back (and without a doubt hit up the nazca lines the next time)!!!! cusco, peru was unreal ... and way too much fun! it is party central and a huge tourist gathering, for both machupicchu and the night life! we spent about 5 days here and partied more than i ever have in calgary ... which i know, isnt saying much, but still ... thats like two nights out in a row for me ... it must be some sort of a record!! jay and i stayed at a hostel 4 doors down from mama africa (one of the main bars in cusco) it was awesome to be so close and not have to worry about taxis or how we are getting back to the room!! my only complaint would be the amount of attention we were getting there!! —  TravelPod.com Recent Updates
