  • A rounded seed, rather smaller than a nutmeg, having a hard smooth shell, and a yellowish or bluish color. The seeds grow in the prickly pods of tropical, woody climbers of the genus Cæsalpinia. Cæsalpinia Bonduc has yellowish seeds; Cæsalpinia Bonducella, bluish gray.
