First day we just went for a walk around really and hoi an is so so nice. its all quite french will small buildings which are generally different colours but they are basically all tailors which i really dont know how they make any money. supposedly there are 400 in a town no bigger than otley! down by the riverfront we went for a gorgeous 4 course meal for only $2 where we had the local specialties including one called white rose which was sort of a dumpling with shrimp, cant really explain it but it was well nice. another great thing is that they have this beer called bia hoi, which basically means 'fresh bear' and they brew it themselves and its so cheap and nice, only 5000 dong so about 12p for a pint! that night we went for a few drinks so a nice bar and played pool for a while. the next day we stayed by the pool most of the day but i got ridiculously burnt but at least it finally turned to a tan. then that night we went for a lovely meal down by the river where theres a great Chinese bridge with loads of nice lights on, Hoi an looks amazing in day and at night. next day we hired bikes out from the hotel for free which was great and i went to a tailors to buy a tailor made suit. i got a 3 piece cashmere suit with silk lining and a shirt for around
