  1. A patented material made on a muslin back and embossed in imitation of leather: used especially in the binding of books and in upholstering. The exterior of the balloon is made of pegamoid, which protects it both from sun and rain. T. E. Curtis, in Strand Mag., Sept., 1900, p. 309.
