1. n. The typical genus of horseshoe-bats of the family Rhinolophidæ and subfamily Phyllorhininæ, containing about: 20 species which have the leaf not lanceolate behind and not covering the nostrils. They have 1 incisor, 1 canine, 1 or 2 premolars, and 3 molars in each upper half-jaw, and 2 incisors, 1 canine, 2 premolars, and 3 molars in each under half-jaw. See cut on following page.
