1. n. In Cuba, a seaside shrub or small tree, Capparis cynophallophora, indigenous to the West Indies and tropical America, bearing peculiar reddish-brown fruit having a flavor of mustard, and sometimes used as a remedy for dropsy. See bottle-cod.
