- Bülow, Prince Bernhard Heinrich Martin Karl von 1849-1929. German politician and diplomat who was chancellor from 1900 to 1909. As ambassador to Rome (1914) he tried unsuccessfully to keep Italy out of World War I.
- Bülow, Hans Guido von 1830-1894. German pianist and conductor considered to be the first modern virtuoso conductor. He was instrumental in popularizing the works of Brahms and Wagner.
