- v. To place into a buffer in preparation for later retrieval or playback.
They play perfectly smoothly in VLC when I set the prebuffer size to 12 seconds (yes, I know, that's quite large), but no matter how hard I try I cannot get Quicktime to play them smoothly.
How do I tell Quicktime that it needs to prebuffer at least 12 seconds worth of data in order to smooth out all of the local fluctuations in bitrate?
I once had the same prebuffer errors when the system time/UT (GMT) settings was wrong.
