• noun In zoology, a certain cavity of some invertebrates: better called pseudocœlom.
• noun A cavity of the brain, lying between the hemispheres and below the corpus callosum. The name is given because the cavity is not in the brain substance, but between the hemispheres. Same as fifth ventricle.
