  • Nautical, double boom-topping lifts which lead from the iron band on the after part of the main (or spanker) boom (about a quarter way in from the end) up to and through single blocks under the eyes of the rigging at the lower-masthead, and thence down on deck, and are designed to support the weight of the boom and for topping up that spar.
