  • Léger, Alexis Saint-Léger Pen name Saint-John Perse (pĕrs, pûrs) 1887-1975. French poet and diplomat whose works include Anabase (1924) and Chronique (1960). He won the 1960 Nobel Prize for literature.
  • Léger, Fernand 1881-1955. French artist. An early cubist who worked in bright flat colors, Léger incorporated industrial and mechanical images into his work.
