  • noun An alcohol, (CH3)2C:CHCH2CH2CH- (CH3)CH2OH, having the odor of roses. It is found in Turkish rose-oil and in geranium-and pelargonium-oils. It boils at 211–212° C. The name rhodinol has also been given some-times to geraniol and to mixtures consisting, chiefly of geraniol.
