  • To post this comment click here: for me, the most telling line is "my faith is what it is" it's a typically lazy, ignorant, and sloppy way of deferring one's own prejudice to tradition. she sounds like the masturbation-prone carrie prejean when she and her fake cans stood up in front of the entire united states to yap about how her bigotry was of "no offense to anyone out there, but that's how [she] was raised ...." there are plenty of faiths out there that are gay-affirming, just as there once were native cultures in this country before the white, roman-catholic onslaught that cherished their transgender and gay people. if your religion is "making" you be a bigot, then either ignore that tenet of your religion's mandates or change religions. stop believing that your faith isn't capable of being deeply flawed.
