1. n. A leguminous tree, Halimodendron argenteum, with hoary pinnate leaves, growing in Asiatic Russia.
2. n. In India, a species of tamarisk, Tamarix orientalis, the twigs of which are frequently covered with a slight efflorescence of salt which is used by the poorer natives. See tamarisk.
