  • noun In biology, the series of forms needed to represent the species in its completeness. The species-cycle is the same as the ovum-cycle or genealogical individual, except in cases where the sexes are separate or polymorphism occurs. See ovum-cycle.
  • noun In botany, the complete series of forms needed to represent adequately the entire life-history of a species.
