  • noun A genus of heteropterous insects, typical of and formerly coextensive with the family Tingitidæ, now restricted to forms which have the costal area biseriate, the legs and antennæ not very slender, and the first antennal joint scarcely longer than the second. There are only 8 species, of which 3 are North American.
  • noun An insect of this genus, or some other member of the Tingitidæ : as, the hawthorn -tingis, Corythuca arcuata.
