- noun A truck or car so constructed that by tipping the body on the frame the contents can be dumped. The body may either tip lengthwise, and toward the rear, as in horse-drawn trucks for bricks and other building material, or sidewise, as in trucks which are run on rails and handled in trains by a motor.
