- noun A colorless, dextrorotatory, poisonous alkaloid, C21H22O2N2(OCH3)2, contained in Brazilian pereira-bark, Geissospermum Vellosii. It crystallizes in trimetric plates, melts and darkens at 189° C., and resembles brucine in general physiological effect.
