I advise running a vlookup twice for each data set so we get something like this:

The problem is the workbook name that the vlookup will reference will always be different (users will need to open up different sheets that have the same template and therefore can work with the same vlookup format with the exception that the name will not match the vlookup reference name).

I am using vlookup to retrieve the manager name of a region/category.

I am using a macro to do a vlookup of a sheet and produce the results in a new workbook.

The problem then is that vlookup is not able to search through that key and i so far always manually copy/paste this as value so it can work.

Or as a workaround would be possible to change the file name with VBA to equal the sheet I am referencing using vlookup?
