1. n. A mineral obtained from Deutsch-Pilsen, in Hungary, in steel-gray folia with bright metallic luster and high specific gravity (8.4). It consists essentially of bismuth and tellurium, and some analyses show the presence of a small amount of silver. It is allied to tetradymite, but its exact composition is uncertain, and it is possible that more than one species may be included under the name.
