A dawnzer is another word for lamp, if you are 5 years old and have confused some of the words from the 'Star Spangled Banner'. "Oh say can you see? By the DAWNZER lee light". Taken from "Ramona the Pest" by Beverly Cleary. Ramona asks her father, "Why don't you turn on the dawnzer? It gives off a lee light."
